By the way, who the heck is Kayden Nguyen? On April 14 EGraphics saw a 600% increase in unique visitors due to people coming here through a search of the phrase “kayden nguyen”. I’m curious as to who or what that is, and why EGraphics was involved. Nothing major, just curious.

After two grinding weeks of working on a fancy website at work, I have a great urge to create a unique layout for this Wordpress site. Bah, looking at me pushing back progress by a few months.

(Hahah, or maybe not. I do want to get this site up and running before the year is out–yeah, yeah, I’ve said that before–but this time I MEAN IT)

Alrights, just in case you haven’t read the About page, things are going to be a little different with the new EGraphics.

• We will no longer be supporting Neopets. There will no longer be any Neopets-related tutorials or graphics.
• Tutorials on this site will focus mainly on simple graphic design techniques and easy HTML/CSS lessons for everyday people who aren’t web designers.
• The free graphics section will no longer contain fan-graphics (graphics depicting favorite bands, celebrities, etc.), avatars (though there will still be avatar bases), signatures, cursors, or profile themes.
• In addition to a free graphics section, there will be a small shop where you may purchase nicer graphics and even download their original .PSD, .AI, and .EPS formats for a small fee.
• Eggs are last priority and will not resume until the rest of the website is already live. In the future there will be an option to preview eggs before they hatch, but you will have to earn this privilege.
• This site is currently run by one man. In the future there may be staff members, but I highly doubt it. There may be a chance for user submissions, but submissions will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

This is the current list and I’ll be adding stuff on if I come up with anything new. There is currently no estimated date for when the site will be ready, but my goal is to get it going hopefully before the end of the year. I know I said that before, but back then I was busy with school. I’m still somewhat busy handling two jobs, but I also do have a lot of free time, so we’ll see how this goes.

Wow, it’s kinda sad how irrelevant much of the content on the old site is now. Looks like we’ll need to create a lot of new stuff for you guys!

I’m sorry to say that the site will no longer be in need of your assistance. For now, at least. Maybe there’ll be an opening for user-submitted content in the future, but as of right now I can’t see myself taking on volunteer graphics designers or moderators right now.

Don’t freak out if the layout suddenly changes or stuff gets moved around. I’m using Wordpress’ premade templates–because I’m lazy–and am experimenting with them.

I’ll also be sifting through content from the old site and adding them here and there. Eggs will come last when everything else is mostly complete.
